“COACH GINGER” COCKERHAM, MCC, DELIVERS GRADUATION ADDRESS

Dallas, Texas (February 18, 2008) – Graduates from Dallas, Atlanta, Houston, and Chicago have spent over 140 hours honing their coaching skills and have been granted two distinct certificates:  “Coach Academy Professional Coach (CAPC)” and “Certified NLP Coach (NLPC)”.  The 2008 Graduates include: Debbie Adams, Paula Asinof, Anisa Aven, Lynn Banis, Jennifer Bradley, Mina Brown, Peggy Dean, Joe Sipper, and Audrey Taylor.

The graduation address was delivered by Ginger Cockerham, MCC, an internationally recognized coach and advocate for the coaching profession.  She applauded the graduates for making the commitment to obtaining excellent training as they launch their careers into the exciting and fast growing coaching industry.  She reflected that the International Coach Federation (ICF), the standard bearer for the global coaching industry, now has over 14,000 members in over 50 countries.

Ginger’s message focused on what she has personally learned over her years of coaching.  She advised the graduates to “never do anything alone”.  She focused on the importance of being collaborative and in being part of the coaching community – from membership in ICF to partnering with clients to being part of a team for delivering coaching services.  She also talked about the importance of joining with other coaches for continuous personal and professional development.  She concluded by saying, “If you have a dream you can do all by yourself, it’s not a big enough dream!”

Guests at the graduation ceremony included Julie Overholt, President-Elect, International Coach Federation, North Texas Chapter, and Pat White, MCC, Visiting Faculty from Nashville, Tennessee.
