COACH ACADEMY TEXAS ANNOUNCES
LYNN BANIS, PhD, MCC
AS MANAGING DIRECTOR OF COACHING

Dallas and Chicago (February 12, 2007) – Coach Academy Texas is pleased to announce Lynn Banis as Managing Director of Coaching.  In this role, she is responsible for assuring that Coach Academy Texas graduates are skilled, confident, and certification-ready.  She will design, lead, and manage the program’s mentor coaching as well as integrate and align International Coach Federation (ICF) competencies throughout the materials and instruction.

Banis is a Master Certified Coach (MCC) with over thirty years experience in developing human and organizational potential.  She brings Coach Academy extensive professional coaching and corporate leadership expertise and is known for developing innovative programs.  In addition to heading her own firm, Banis Consulting Group, she is a partner in Truleaderu™, a corporate training organization.  Earlier she was a Senior Manager in Performance Consulting at Arthur Andersen, held executive positions with major healthcare organizations, and began her career as an educator.   As a coach, Banis is recognized for guiding clients through complex, often difficult situations.   

Banis holds a PhD in Industrial / Organizational Psychology, an MS in Counseling, and an MS in Administration.   She is also a graduate of Corporate Coach U.  Banis has taught graduate and undergraduate courses in organizational effectiveness and development, testing and evaluation, research methods, interpersonal relations, and quality leadership.

Banis was a founding member of ICF’s Internal Coaching Special Interest Group, and she has also co-chaired the membership committee of the Chicago Coach Federation.  She is past-President of the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD) Southeast Virginia Chapter and was a member of ASTD’s National Executive Committee.  Banis previously served as President of the Rotary Club of Glenview-Sunrise, Illinois.
